Environment

We are always grateful for the environment we are lucky enough to work and grow our product in. To be able to live and derive an income from this beautiful, pristine part of the world is truly a gift and we are fully understanding of our responsibility to look after and preserve it for future generations.

The Oysters we grow are located in the pristine waters of Streaky Bay; our oysters naturally filter feed the nutrients from the beautifully clean waters. These nutrients are delivered from the cold upwellings from the Great Southern Ocean and it is evident in their memorable flavour and quality our oysters contain.

Quality Assurance

Evans Oysters uses the latest in reporting technology to maintain records and farm practices. Our oysters are fully traceable from the moment they are introduced to the lease as 5mm spat, right through their grow-out phases and ultimately until they are harvested and sent to the final consumer.

All Evans Oysters are harvested, packed and stored under strict Quality Assurance policies.

Evans Oysters is certified under the SA Primary Produce Food Safety Scheme Act 2004.

The scheme is annually audited and covers all aspects of safely growing, harvesting, packing, and transporting of our oysters.
